Thanks for participating in the conference! We are looking forward to it. If you have queries that are not answered here, please get in touch with Diana or Maarit.
Papers for the conference will be pre-circulated, using this website. Please submit your paper in electronic form by 13 June 2008 to maarit.forde@ncl.ac.uk or diana.paton@ncl.ac.uk. It is important that you meet this deadline so that discussants and participants have full opportunity to read the papers in advance of the conference.
Papers should be no longer than 8000 words including footnotes but excluding bibliography; they could be shorter than this. We will put the papers on the conference website in pdf form, where registered delegates and participants will be able to access them with a password. We will also send each discussant the papers in her or his panel either by e-mail or regular mail.
At the conference, each speaker will have 15 minutes to present his or paper. Please take this timing into account and prepare a shorter summary or commentary on your written paper. After the presentations, the discussant will have 20 minutes for his or her comments. This will allow time for general discussion.
Digital projection and other audiovisual facilities will be available in the conference room. Please bring any files you want to use on a USB drive, or email them to us in advance of the conference. Make sure your presentations are pc-compatabile. Let us know if you have any unusual requests.
We hope that you will plan to attend the entire conference. If you will have to miss part of it please make sure you let us know, so that we can adjust numbers for catering.
